My role
Using sources including the Associated Press, Kaiser Family Foundation, the National Governors Association and the states themselves, I compiled lists, by date, for when orders were enacted to keep residents at home, close restaurants, shut schools and more.
I also sorted through Chicago Tribune stories to give readers an overview of why officials at the local and state level have justified the decisions they’ve made.
